Dr Humaira Showkat has a profound interest in the deep structures, and the changing patterns of relationship in a society. She is a genuine sociologist, conducting research in the latest trends reflected by the society she lives in. She has done her PhD from Aligarh Muslim University, after having earned Gold Medal in her Masters. Currently she is a faculty at UMIKS, Kashmir University, and guides scholars and students in various research projects, pertaining to the larger South Asian social landscape. She keeps a close eye on the latest research methodologies, and employs these research tools evaluate ever changing trends in the society.
