About Author

Dr. Christabell P.J. is currently Associate Professor, Department of Economics, University of Kerala, Kariavattom, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. She has been teaching since 2005. She was formerly a Faculty Member in ICFAI National College; Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics, Faculty of Management Sciences and Economics, University of Gondar, Ethiopia; Assistant Professor in two government colleges in Kerala; and Assistant Professor in the Department of Futures Studies, University of Kerala. Christabellhas conducted research on different topics relating to microfinancein Kerala and has published in leading journals. She has been the recipient of the publication grant from the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) for the publication of doctoral thesis (2007) and The K N Raj Fellowship on Research Grant for Researchers in Economics instituted by the Centre for Development Studies (CDS), Thiruvananthapuram (2013) to prepare a book. Christabell has previously published two books - Women Empowerment through Capacity Building: The role of Micro-Finance (2009) and Inclusive Growth through Social Capital Formation: Is Microfinance an Effective tool for Targeting Women? (2016).
