Dr. Shamshad got his degrees of B.A. (Hons.) in Geography, M.A. In Geography and B.Ed. In Geography & Economics from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, He also obtained his doctorate degree in Geography from the same university. He qualified NET and JRF (Joint CSIR-UGC) In Earth Sciences and NET (UGC) In Geography. Dr. Shamshad has a great commitment in research, and hence, to his credit, there are two books and more than fifty research papers published in edited books and reputed national & international journals especially in the fields of Population, Rural and Urban Geographies. He has presented more than forty research papers in various national and international conferences, and participated in several workshops, certificate as well as training courses.
