The book provides the latest information related to library management systems, procedures and new trends partnering to various activities of the libraries and information centers which affect the reader's service. It covers different management techniques and procedure along with traditional and contemporary approaches of library management to the library professionals.

About Author

Dr. Mukesh Saikia is currently working as Librarian at Tezpur University. He has 22 years of experience in library profession. Dr. Saikia is recipient of International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions/ Advancement of Librarianship (IFLA/ALP) Fellowship. Dr. Saikia has authored 4 books and has more than 30 research articles to his credit that were published in learned research journals and as chapters in books and conference proceedings. Dr. Monawwer Eqbal did his B.L.I.Sc, M.L.I.Sc and Ph.D from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. He is working as Deputy Librarian at Tezpur University, Tezpur, Assam. Prior to the present position, he worked as Librarian at Indian Institute of Management Rohtak (IIMR) and INMANTEC Institution, Ghaziabad, UP. He has an administrative experience of more than 12 years in library profession. Dr. Eqbal has a number of publications to his credit in reputed journals and also five books to his credit so far. Devendra Pratap is presently working in the capacity of Information Scientist at Tezpur University. He has obtained his MLIS degree from Banaras Hindu University and PGDCA from UPRTOU. He has been awarded JRF twice by UGC. Pratap has actively participated in dozen numbers of seminar/conferences/workshops. He is the life member of professional bodies like ILA, SALIS, IATLIS and also the member of Asian Library Association.
