The book explores issues that are central to rehabilitation, such as the nature of the body, the idea of independence, the rehabilitation process, evidence-based practice and client-centred practice. Dr. Sanjay Kumar is presently working as Chairperson, Department of Applied Psychology, Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology, Hisar. Dr. Kumar has done his Ph. D from Central Institute of Psychiatry, Ranchi in 2011. Dr. Kumar has authored two books entitled "Alcohol and Social Cognition" and "Health Psychology". He has also constructed Menstrual Distress Scale (2023) and completed three Research Projects as Principal Investigator. He has authored 12 Chapters in National and International books and 45 Research Papers published in National and International Journals in his Credit. Five scholars have been awarded Ph. D under his supervision. His thrust areas are Clinical Psychology, Substance Dependence, Psychological Assessment and Psychotherapeutics. He is an expert in conducting workshops on various psychological themes. He is Managing Editor of Journal of Contemporary Research and Journal of Social Science and Literature Studies and he is in Editorial team of various journals including Iranian Journal of Organizational Psychology. Dr. Sneha Mittal is currently working in Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology, Hisar. Dr. Mittal completed her Ph. D from Department of Applied Psychology, G.J.U.S.T, Hisar in 2024. She has also worked in the Department of Psychology, Central University of Haryana, Mahendergarh for 2.5 years. She has authored 6 chapters in National and International Books and more than 11 research papers in journals of National and International repute. Her areas of interest are Juvenile Delinquency, Personality Psychology, Abnormal Psychology and Counselling Psychology.
